Simon Hepworth, Chairman
Simon is Director of Enterprise and Chairman of the Board of Imperial Consultants (ICON) and also sits on the Innovations Partnership Board, which oversees the technology transfer operations of the university. Simon is seeking to connect more of Imperial’s academics, students and discoveries with leading entrepreneurs and pioneers from industry. His ultimate goal is to generate more opportunities for collaboration that make a real world impact.
Alistair McDermott, CEO ICON
Alistair is the Chief Executive Officer at ICON and is responsible for delivering ICON’s long and short term plans. Alistair has worked within the higher education sector in industry-facing roles for a number of years and has launched joint ventures, developed start-up centres and has delivered regional business support initiatives.
Tony is Director of Financial Management, Imperial College London and also a member of both the Association of Corporate Treasurers and Institute of Management Accountants. At Imperial College London he is responsible for all external financial reporting, formulating the overall budgets and financial plans that are submitted to Council for approval and for treasury matters.
Peter is Professor and Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Imperial College London. Peter’s research is in non-destructive evaluation. He is a director of two spin-out companies set up to exploit technology developed in his research group, and he is a consultant to a variety of industries.
Louise is Imperial College London’s HR Director since 2009. She holds an LL.M in employment law, is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, and a pension scheme Trustee Director.
Sir Stephen Bloom MD DSc FRS
Stephen is Professor and Head of Division of Diabetes and Endocrinology, Imperial College London and is also the Chief of Service for West London NHS Pathology Consortium and Head of Obesity Drug Development in Imperial College.
Niall is Professor of Statistics, Imperial College London. He is an applied statistician, with interests in pattern recognition, anomaly detection and cyber-security.
Victoria Kilcoyne, Company Secretary
Vicky is Associate Director (Commercial Development) of Enterprise Ventures, Imperial College London. She is a Chartered Company Secretary, and holds an MSc in Corporate Governance and was a founder member of the Institute of Leadership and Management.
