What we doProject Management Case Studies: Energy Futures Lab
Following a strategic review, Imperial College London nominated energy as one of its strategic priorities. The Energy Futures Lab was launched in November 2005 to aid communication and foster multi-disciplinary research, in addition to raise the profile of energy research at Imperial College within the UK and worldwide energy community. The Lab is managed by a Board of Directors with representatives from across the College, instilling interdisciplinary communication. The Board of Directors in headed up by Executive Director, Prof Nigel Brandon, Shell Chair of Sustainable Development in Energy. Advice on the strategic direction is provided the Energy Futures Lab Advisory Board, chaired by Sir Roy Gardner, President, Energy Institute. Through grants from Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and Imperial College London, Faculty of Engineering, Imperial Consultants provides support to the Energy Futures Lab Board of Directors for its core activities through programme management and administrational support, which includes;
