The tunnel includes a rolling road and a fully computerised control system. Users also have access to state-of-the-art data processing software and computing hardware.

Force, pressure and flow velocity measurements can be made accurately and efficiently using its high quality flow and comprehensive range of instrumentation.

In addition to the full tunnel, a smaller working section tunnel is available for smaller experimentations. The facility also has a contoured wall test section to test models up to 50% scale.

Race car testing

The tunnel is optimised for race car testing, capable of speeds up to 40 metres a second. It can simulate the effects of crosswinds using the rolling road as well as provide automated strut support.
