The Electromagnetics Laboratory, which includes an RF anechoic-shielded chamber, is equipped for all high-frequency measurement needs.
Housed in the Institute for Bimoedical Engineering, this facility includes a huge (4m x 3m x 2m) RF anechoic-shielded chamber, calibrated for uninterrupted use between 10MHz and 110GHz, with a range of supporting equipment, accessories and test fixtures.
The Electromagnetics/RF Laboratory hosts the following equipment:
- RF Anechoic Shielded Chamber (attenuation from 10MHz to 110GHz) fitted by EMV Ltd. With the facility to carry out radio frequency measurements, the RF chamber has been used to develop devices for mobile communication, portable antennas, and to investigate the effect of electromagnetic radiation to biological tissue.
