10 Jun 2010 "The EU needs to significantly increase its investment in research to meet 2020 targets" advises the League of European Research Universities in a new paper published this month.

The paper, 'Towards an effective 8th Framework Programme for Research' deals with the FP8 project and how it should develop.

The League of European Research Universities (LERU) was founded in 2002 by research-intensive universities who shared the values of high-quality testing and internationally competitive research.

Imperial College London is a founding member of LERU. With expertise in consortium management, dissemination and training for Framework Programme projects, Imperial Consultants are closely involved in Imperial's contribution to LERU's activities.
