There isn’t a company in the world that doesn’t use statistics in some form. A deep knowledge of statistics is often vital in truly understanding datasets and numerical processes.

Imperial’s Department of Mathematics has an internationally renowned statistics section. Its researchers have an interest in the application as well as theory of statistics. Previous projects have included statistical analyses of housing demand, mobile phone usage, retail data and credit applications.
